This is my second pair of these gloves. The first pair are about 2 years old and are still usable, but a couple of the finger pads have some broken stitches that can catch on small branches. My wife (she also wears these gloves) and I take care of an area with native plants and heavy long protective gloves are our primary tool along with bow saw, lopper and machete. The long, heavy leather sleeves protect our forearms that were formerly always cut and wounded by branches we were pruning. The reenforced, well-padded heavy fingers, thumbs and palms save our hands as we as we break bundles of twigs which is one of our most common jobs.

I am now on blood thinners so I cannot afford to get cut when I go clean out the garden, cut rose buses and other thorny plants. The gantlet allows me to carry small bundles in my arms without being stuck.

These gloves are so much more than I was expecting! Well-made, heavy-duty yet comfortable, very high quality. I got them to protect my forearms from all the scratches I get while gardening and working in landscape. Work beautifully. Highly recommend.

I didn’t buy this for gardening. I work in an animal shelter and have had to get medical treatment for cat bites twice in a 3 month timeframe. So these gloves with the long sleeves have been a godsend. Now every time I have to pick up a cat with a questionable attitude I put these on first. They have saved me from fear and hurt. In addition to the long sleeves, they have a good fit, not like generic leather gloves. Anything with the thickness needed to actually protect from harm, even with gardening, is less dexterous than something thin, but the cut on these gloves provides what I think is the most flexible possible in something that protects the maximum amount. Good for women’s hand size.

I love 'em. I wish they were a little easier to clean, but they're sturdy. They go up far enough that I don't worry about exposure to questionable plants. It made taming my pumpkin vines possible, even, and anyone who works with pumpkins can tell you that pumpkins grow on vines that are prickly and difficult to deal with without hurting oneself.

Love these gloves. I do heavy duty shrub trimming and they keep my hands and arms from getting scratched up. They fit comfortably, but since they tend to dry my hands, I wear those thin rubber gloves (with some hand lotion) under them. Not only do these gloves wash in my washing machine, I inadvertently found out they dry well too!

I LOVE these gloves! I use them for ALL my gardening, not just around thorns! They have reinforced fingers (which was a problem with the other ones I had, they wore out), and they don't make my arms too hot (also a problem with the others). I'll never go back to regular, hand covering only type gloves again!
